The 2nd PhD school of the Marie-Curie YIELDGAP project has been organized by our group in Capri (Naples, ITALY) from the 11th to the 15th of July 2022. About 20 people among PhD students and teachers from academies and industries attended the school.
The topics covered during the school were:
- applications of viscoplastic fluids in industrial processes, highlighting the importance of their rheological properties (Dr. Vincenzo Guida from Procter & Gamble and Dr. Dragana Arlov from TetraPak)
- methods for solving the mathematical models governing the dynamics of fluids, with a special focus on the finite element method (Prof. John Tsamopoulos from the University of Patras)
- rheology of solid particle suspensions and emulsions (Prof. Gaetano D’Avino and Prof. P.L. Maffettone from the University of Naples Federico II)
- scientific writing (Prof. Massimiliano Villone from the University of Naples Federico II)
