Four oral presentations of works produced at La Bottega della Materia Soffice were given at the 8th Annual European Rheology Conference in Leuven. Gaetano De Monaco (the first on the right) illustrated his preliminary results on simulation of flows of granular matter, Massimiliano Villone (in the middle) reported on simulations of deformation and migration of elastic spherical particls suspended in fluids under confined shear flow, Francesco Del Giudice (the first on the left) wrapped up a presentation on experimental investigation on the motion of particles in viscoelastic fluids in square-shaped microchannels, Gaetano D’Avino (second on the right) gave a talk on the motion of ellipsoids in viscoelatic liquids subjected to shear flow.
